Today I thought I’d take a break from the usual product reviews and share with my readers what’s in my make-up bag!
As much as I love doing reviews, I feel like my blog needs a more content to engage my readers and build a stronger follower-ship!
So this New Year, expect more tutorials, more hauls, more contests, and more posts! If you have any other ideas to help me improve my blog, please feel free to share them with me. Also, let me know if you like the different colored font or if it just looks tacky!

My day-to-day makeup goodies are stored in a small multicolored Ed Hardy “tote”. Both outside and inside of the tote is a vinyl-like material that is easy to clean and that doesn’t damage easily! Other than normal wear and tear (ie. color stripping along the piping), the tote looks like new. I can’t remember where I got it but I’ve been using it for months.

What’s in the bag?
- a Sephora mirror (the one you get with a gift card purchase). This mirror is so handy! It has two mirrors, one is normal while the other is magnified. It’s handheld and the magnified side is perfect to see those hard-to-reach hairs while plucking.
- Make-Up Designory Brow Gel. My most favourite brow gel, ever! Click HERE to read my review :) (link opens in new window!)
- my favourite liquid eyeliner L’Oreal Lineur Intense (felt tip). Although this liner never smudges on me, you never know when you might need to touch it up (what if I have a mental breakdown at work?)
- a mark Kabuki brush. I keep this retractable brush on me in case my blush needs to be touched up, or if I’ve applied my makeup half asleep and realize that I need to blend out my blush more.
- a mascara, for the days I forget to put it on at home or the days that my false lashes are irritating me. The one I have in my makeup bag is Femme Couture Monster Lash. You can read my review on it HERE (just using this until it runs out)
- my favourite pencil eyeliner Urban Decay in zero. I keep this with me in the event that I need to go from day-to-night. It’s easy to smudge thus perfect for creating a smoked-out look.
eeek! It’s so tiny! Looks like I have to buy a new one ASAP
- Lipstick. No particular brand or color, just whatever I am wearing that day, to touch up throughout the day.
- Several different lipglosses. Just in case my lips feel dry, or I’m bored of my lipstick of the day, or just to give my lipstick of the day an extra pop. I keep 4 main ones on me at all times. Avon lipgloss in Chocolate Kiss (reddish-brown, super sweet taste), MAC lip glass in Prep-a-Papier (really I’m only just using this until it runs out so I can recycle the container), NYX mega shine lipgloss in Natural (for the days a nude, matte lip just isn’t enough), and Maybelline lipgloss in Raspberry Sorbet (a sweet, deep pink that smells soo very edible. Mind you, I love me some raspberries!!)

I’ve noticed that even if I dislike a product, I will use it until the very bitter end because I’ve already spent my money on it. Does anyone else do this?
There you have it! This is what I carry with me on a day-to-day basis. It’s very simple and gets me through the day. I almost always have time to go home, after my 730-1600hr, and freshen up before hitting the town all over again :)
