MAC LIPSTICK
Most of the lipsticks in my kit are from MAC. Most of their lipsticks are creamy, pigmented and come in a wide variety of shades and finishes. The main reason I buy from MAC is because of the 40% off they offer to Pro Card holders. Click to shop

OCC LIP TARS
These gals are potent. They are a liquid lipstick but you only need a tiny bit and are best applied with a lip brush. They go on moist and dry down to a satin finish. Lip Tars are an amazing product and available in 40 shades.

NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM
I like to use these lip creams for when I need a matte lip. They’re available in 11 shades, go on smooth and set to a matte finish. This product isn’t drying or sticky. They’re great for photo shoots. Click to shop
Lise Watier Plumpissimo Le Gloss
I’m not a fan of lip gloss but when I need it, these are the ones I reach for. Also available in 11 shades, these lip glosses are light, not sticky, and fairly sheer. Because of the thin formula, the wear time is significantly shorter but this is expected with most glosses.

LIP BALM
You’re probably wondering why you’d need to carry lip balm in your kit. One answer: dry lips. If your client has dry lips, any lipstick you put on her will look terrible. Solve that by using a exfoliating the lips with a moisturizing balm. Apply to lips, leave on for a few minutes, remove with towel. Then apply balm before lipstick, especially a matte lipstick.
