A few weeks ago, during WMFC Toronto, Vichy had a pop up booth at Eaton’s Center where they put your face in a UV machine and it shows all your skin imperfections/issues.
I shared the image above on Instagram but in case you missed it, there it is again!
My UV image shows I have sun damage (all the freckles), redness in the cheeks and forehead are due to dehydration, the broken capillaries are from my smoking days (about 3 years ago now), and the yellow tones are excess sebum from over exfoliating with products that are “gentle enough for daily use” (nope!!)
Vichy prescribed me me a new skincare routine that can help with these issues:
- Normaderm Tri-Activ Mask – to be used once or twice a week to stabilize the excess sebum by mattifying the skin
- Purete Thermal 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser – this cleansing milk has always been my favourite. It cleanses, removes makeup, and tones. Massage it into the skin and remove with a cotton pad.
- Idealia Life Serum – my daytime serum. This really brightens up the skin. You can read my full review here
- Aqualia Thermal Light Cream – my daytime moisturizer. This is to regulate moisture and combat dehydration
- Aqualia Thermal Power Serum – my nighttime serum. Like the Light Cream, this is to combat the dehydration. You can read the full review here
- Aqualia Thermal Night Spa – my night cream. For deeper hydration and fresh looking skin in the AM. Apply a thick layer to the skin a few times a week, let it penetrate for about 15 minutes, and then massage the excess into the skin
Although the pop up shop is over, you can take part by visiting www.vichyworksforme.ca, where you can do a skin diagnosis online, and even receive a $20 coupon.
