Did you wake up a little late and are now running late to work? for a meeting? interview? a breakfast date with your girlfriends?
Didn’t get much sleep the night before?
This is the tutorial for you! You’ll be able to apply your make-up in 5 minutes or less & look fresh to death! (HA! I made a funny lol)
Here’s what you’ll need(make sure all products match your skin tone!):
- Tinted Moisturizer (ie. Caryl Baker Visage Hydra Light, Sephora Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer, Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer)
- Do away with the brushes, use a sponge for the application to save time
- Concealer (preferably a gel-type concealer but liquid will do, too)
- Mascara
- A neutral or white eyeliner
- Colored lipgloss or;
- A lipstick & a clear gloss
- OPTIONAL: your favorite blush and/or a fix spray (ie. Mac FIX , Model in a Bottle)
STEP ONE
Apply your concealer under your eyes and the sides of the bridge of your nose with your ring finger.
The skin under your eye is very delicate. It is best to use your ring finger because it has the lightest touch.
Apply the concealer anywhere else it is needed, too.
STEP TWO
Put a blob of tinted moisturizer, the size of a nickel, on the back of your hand. Put some product on the sponge and start at your forehead, dabbing in the center and blending it out on either side. Next, move down your nose and blend across your cheeks then work it into your chin and under your nose.
I like to use tinted moisturizer because it illuminates your skin and gives it a glowing tint. If you don’t like the way the moisturizer leaves your skin feeling, you can lightly apply a pressed or loose powder to downplay the “glow”.
STEP THREE (OPTIONAL):
If you can’t go without your blush, apply to the apples of your cheeks & sweep up, diagonally. Don’t go too heavy on the blush or it will defeat the purpose of this quick & easy look.
Also, you can spritzed some fix spray on a CLEAN brush and dab it all over your face for a misty-look.
If you don’t want to use blush or a fix spray, skip to step four.
STEP FOUR
Apply a white or neutral eyeliner to your lower water line. This will brighten up your eyes & make them look bigger.
After the eyeliner has been applied, apply a couple of coats of your mascara (top & bottom lashes).
STEP FIVE
This is where you can get dramatic because the rest of your face is low-key. If you prefer to use a lipstick & and a clear lipgloss, then do that now. Otherwise, apply your colored lipgloss.
AND VOILA! You’re now ready to take on the challenges of the day. Have fun!!! :)
