Blog

I have zero hairstyling skills. I love getting my hair cut, dyed and style but I never do any of that myself.
My “everyday” hair is simple. Straight.
I have no talent with hair and I really couldn’t be bothered with it to be completely honest.

BUT

(see how big that but is?)
I love the low messy side bun  because it is so easy to create! If I can do it, so can you!

You’ll need:

  • one hair tie
  • bobby pins
  • hair spray
  • teasing comb

STEP ONE
Tie your hair off to one side and secure it with a hair tie. Your side ponytail can be as high or as low as you would like it.
Your hair can be curled, straight or wavy. It shouldn’t matter.
You can also leave your bangs or a few hairs out of the ponytail that you can later curl or make wavy

STEP TWO
You’ll need a teasing comb and hairspray for this step.
Separate the ponytail into chunks, big enough to tease. Spray that piece of hair with hairspray and tease it. Do that for each piece of hair until your whole ponytail is teased.

STEP THREE
You’ll need bobby pins for this step
Wrap the teased hair around your hairtie and secure it with a bobby pin.
Place bobby pins strategically around the bun to secure it tighter.

STEP FOUR (optional)
If you’ve left hair piece of hair hanging loose, now’s the time to style it as you please. Curl it or create waves. You can even leave it straight.

      Hey Hannah!

Starting from the base of your ponytail, take all of the hair and in a circular motion start to wrap it around your hair tie.
      Does that make more sense?

Could you do a video tutorial? I’m still not following on Step 3 but the rest sounds right up my alley!
