I was sent some Hard Candy products recently and after testing out a few, I’m pretty underwhelmed. Here is a quick review of each products, from least favourite to favourite.

Hard Candy Instant Lip Fix Duo – $6 USD
You may have saw me use this for the first time on my Instastory, and noticed my WTF reaction lol
Basically, one side is an exfoliating scrub made with coconut oil and sugar. It sucks and literally did nothing for my lips. I feel like it just melting and creating a mess without actually exfoliating.
The other side is a rosehip oil and mango butter treatment to smooth and hydrate. The “treatment” is so thick that it doesn’t spread properly on my lips.
This whole products is a complete miss for me.

Hard Candy Pore Defense Primer Hard Candy Pore Defense Primer

Hard Candy Pore-Defense Primer – $8 USD
I’m going to start off by saying I never use primers. I don’t like how they make my skin feel and this primer was no different. Although it is lightweight, and oil-and-silicone-free, it literally melted my foundation off my face. I was shiny and felt greasy. This is another big fat nope from me but I am curious to see how it works on someone else’s skin.

Hard Candy Feelin’ Mauvey – $8 USD
This was the second product I tried from the line. I had high hopes because it swatches so nicely.
The look I created with it was super simple. I used about 6 shades but it really only looks like 2 or 3. I found that as I started blending, the shadows lost their colour. That was so depressing! The other upside is that they didn’t crease without primer. I don’t hate this palette but I highly doubt I’ll be reaching for it.

Hard Candy Matte-aholic Velvet Mousse Lip Colour Kit – $6 USD
This is a matte liquid lip colour with matching lip liner. There are 18 matte shades. These seem to be really comfortable to wear and the lip liner glides on smoothly. I don’t love this colour (In The Navy) on me but I’m totally open to trying other fun colours! The formula isn’t drying and is really quite easy to apply and to wear. It doesn’t bleed but I didn’t find that it lasted too long. Great colour pay off but I wish it had a little bit more longevity on my lips!

Hard Candy Glitterazi – $6 USD
Okay now thse are fun! There are 7 fun shades to choose from, that change from matte to glitter as you press your lips together. It’s comfortable to wear, easy to apply, and long lasting. Once the lipcolour dries, press your lips together to reveal SPARKLE!
