Hello, my prettiess!!!
Here is some general tips on how to keep your make-up clean & safe for usage!
- Wash your hands before & after make-up application (especially if you’re using your hand as a mixing surface!)
- Wash your brushes & sponges once a week (I recommend Pur Minerals: Mineral Wash.. this stuff is amazing! Review coming soon)
- Wash your brushes & sponges more frequently if you are using them on clients (ie. a good cleaning once a day, don’t forget to sanitize between clients!)
- Try not to share your make-up (and if you do, sanitize inbetween uses!)
- Toss out any make-up that has changed colors, smells, separate or just doesn’t look right anymore!
- When your liquid eyeliner or mascara gets dry, toss it!
- Don’t pump the mascara wand. Air gets in the tube & bacteria can start to grow
- Sharpen pencils frequently to get rid of bacteria (ie. lip liners, eye liners, brow liners)
- TIP: store products in the fridge to extend it’s life
