How do you exofliate? Loofah? Scrub? Sugar Scrub? Dry Brushing?
Until I started using the Prana Brush, my go to exfoliant was a sugar scrub. If you use a sugar scrub, you know how messy and greasy they can leave your tub. Ugh!
When Prana Brush reached out with the opportunity to test out and review their products, I jumped at the chance because a) as a business owner, I was looking to retail some dry brushes for my clients, and b) the beauty blogger in me always wants to try new things. This opportunity satisfied both sides of my soul.
Prana Brush is an ionic body brush with incredible health benefits, as well as it being the most amazing way to exfoliate.
Dry brushing:
-
detoxifies the body
-
improves circulation
-
eliminates dead skin cells
-
exfoliates the skin
-
improves your skin tone
-
aids in digestion
-
reduces and prevents cellulite
-
increases your energy and well-being
-
stimulates the lymphatic system which eliminates toxins and pathogens that cause inflammation and illness
Prana Brush is made with copper bristles that greatly enhances all the benefits of dry brushing. The extra fine ion-charged bristles protect our bodies from free radicals. These unique bristles encourage the direct and immediate absorption of negative ions into the skin which increases the benefits of dry brushing, including the speed of detoxification. You could call this ionic body brush an Energy Brush!
Prana Brushes are handmade from a high-quality and sustainably-harvested beechwood that is then smoothed with natural wax. The bristles are made from a high quality of copper alloy and ethically-sourced boar hair.
How to use Prana Brush
Prana Brushes are designed to be used without soap, water or oils.
Prana Brush can be used on a daily basis. I don’t exfoliate my entire body every day but I do dry brush my legs and bum every day in hopes that it reduces my cellulite and so that my legs stay smoothed throughout the winter.
With a light, smooth hand, begin brushing the soles of your feet and work upwards toward your heart with long, straight strokes. Brushing in this direction matches the direction lymph flows through your body. This is the most beneficial way to dry brush because it increases blood circulation, stimulates the nervous system, and detoxifies your body
Adjust your speed and pressure to match your skin sensitivities. For example. I use very light pressure on my inner thighs, tummy, and breasts.
I also dry brush in the shower, before turning the water on. Here’s why:
Those white dust particles? That’s my dead skin from my legs. Gross, right!? Prana Brush kicks up so much dead skin that it looks like it’s snowing LOL. Trust me, you want to do this in your shower and not out in the open. It’s dusty so being in your bath tub makes it easy to just rinse it away and off your body.
Prana Brush isn’t only effective for your body, it’s good for your soul, too! 15% of profits are donated to several non-profits that supply nutritious food to families in developing countries.
Prana Brush is by far the best body brush I have ever used. I will never have to purchase another sugar scrub, again!
Prana Brush is available online for $59 CAD and soon enough, in my babe cave for my clients!
