If you have yet to discover what RentfrockRepeat (RfR) is, you’re missing out and you need to quickly click on THIS link and become informed, especially because the Holiday Season is among us!
So back in October, I rented my first dress from RfR and I was sooo pleased, I had to do it again. This time I rented for my works’ Christmas Party.
I originally had THIS Mark & James by Badgley Mishcka dress in mind but taking into account the weather in Toronto during this time of year, I went with THIS Catherine Malandrino frock instead (on the recommendation of one of my best girlfriends- ps. thanks Jules!)
RentfrockRepeat sent me two sizes of the dress, along with another Fit Kit. The size small fit perfectlyand hugged me in all the right places. I don’t have a flat tummy (and I’m okay with that!) so I wore Spanx to flatten me out. I would definitely recommend Spanx with this dress, though because it is tight-fitting!
I went to see my stylist Yang over at YMF Hairsalon (I love this girl! I’ve been with her for for almost a decade! If you want to try out her salon, tell the girls there that Anna referred you), she colored my hair a deep purple and gave me a simple updo for the party. I really wanted a braided look and this is what she came up with!
Unfortunately, I totally forgot to snap a picture of my make-up for the night but it was nothing too crazy. It was a combination of black & gold.
My foundation is MACs’ Studio Fluid Fix in NW25. My bronzer is Lise Watier Havana All-Over Baked Bronzer, my blush is NARS in Orgasm and I contoured with MACs’ blush in Harmony.
I used Sleek Makeup’s i-Divine Palette in Sunset, fourth eyeshadow on the bottom row (swatched HERE), all over the lid and slightly in the crease.
For my outer-v and about midway through the crease, I used THIS charcoal eyeshadow in the E.L.F eyeshadow quad in Day 2 Night. I softened out both colors and highlighted my browbone with the beige eyeshadow (directly above the charcoal) in the same E.L.F eyeshadow quad.
My lipstick is the third color (golden lip color) in the NYX Dance in Africa lip palette.
My tan is courtesy of Fake Bake Orginial Self Tanning Lotion (reviewed HERE)
Here is the final look & the dress!

Very cute, I just came across your blog because I wrote a post on my experience with Rent the Runway, which is the same concept. I’m definitely a fan of renting now!
