MY 2 CENTS
I bought 4 Violent Lip Tattoos months ago and have been dying to find the perfect time to wear them. After all, it’s not something I can wear to the office every day.

There are about 120 lip tattoos too choose from. Each Violent Lips package includes 3 Lip Appliques.
The 4 I bought are:

  1. The Italian Flag
  2. The Gold Glitteratti
  3. The Cool Rainbow
  4. and The White Tiger

Last month, I wore the Italian flag lip tattoo to the Taste of Italy on College St. in Toronto. It was really the perfect time since it fell in the middle of Euro Cup 2012, too.

Application:
Super easy! There’s a vertical and horizontal guideline on the back of each Appliques. You just cut each to the shape of your lip, following the guidelines.

After you’ve got the perfect shape, mold the Applique to your (clean) lip and with a wet cotton or cotton pad, generously dab the back of the Appliques until it starts to peel off on it’s own.

Smooth over your new lip tattoo with a wet cotton/cotton pad to set the Appliques in place.

Wear:
At first, my lips felt really dry. I couldn’t get used to the dry/chapped lip feel so I used some lip chap (HERE are a list of approved lip products by Violent Lips) to moisten it up .
Then, the top lip tattoo kept getting stuck to the bottom lip tattoo. It was quite irritating so I removed the top lip tattoo. That solved the problem.
I put the lip tattoo on at 4pm and at 11pm (7 hrs later, eating & drinking), the bottom lip tattoo was still on perfectly, with no fading or smudging (of course, there was no top lip tattoo because I removed it).

Removal:
I thought Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos would be a pain in the behind to remove but it was actually quite easy.

When I removed the top lip tattoo, I used an oil-based makeup remover since Violent Lips recommended Baby Oil and I didn’t have any on hand. That worked well. There was no left over residue.

Later on in the shower, when I was ready to remove the bottom lip, I tried the good ol’ soap & water trick. That didn’t work as well as the oil-based makeup remover but it still removed most of the lip tattoo with a slight residue left behind.
