In 2014, Vichy discovered a new phenomenon responsible for skin dehydration. Poor water circulation in your face in responsible for the loss of your skin’s “fresh look”. Hydration levels in your face change depending on the zone, therefore it’s not evenly distributed, resulting in fine lines, loose skin, and dull complexions.
This is where the Aqualia Thermal line comes in.
It’s formulated with 3 stimulating sugars to energize fluids: hyaluronic acids (holds 1000x it’s weight in water), aquabioryl (reinforces the protection of the cutaneous barrier against dehydration), and carrageenans (to maintain moisture and smooth the surface of the skin).
Now that you have some background on the Aqualia Thermal line, we can talk about the products. They’re said to provide 48hr continuous hydration, plumped skin, and a radiant complexion.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Power Serum – $42 CDN for 30ml
10x more Hyaluronic Acid and 2x more Aquabioryl, suitable for all skin types.
It’s lightweight, watery, and absorbs quickly into the skin. When I think “sugar”, I think sticky but the Power Serum is definitely not. Because of it’s watery consistency, one pump of this is enough for your entire face. My skin looks instantly brighter and feels more hydrated.
To be used day & night, under your moisturizer.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream – $38.50 CDN for 50ml
2x more Hyaluronic Acid, best used on dry to very dry skin.
The cream is thick and if you don’t have dry skin issues, you will find that this is too heavy for your skin (in which case, use the light cream for normal to combo skin!). On my skin, Rich Cream feels smooth, soft and refreshing. Can be used day & night
