MY 2 CENTS
I received a sample size of this palette in my October 2012 Topbox. I thought for sure there wasn’t going to be enough product for me to play around with and really get a feel for the shadows- but there definitely was.

In the Garden comes with 10 botanical-inspired eyeshadows. Start from the top row, left to right:

  • Chinois
  • Breeze
  • Bark
  • Freesia
  • Rosette

top row (LtoR): Chinois, Breeze, Bark, Freesia, Rosette

Then the bottom row, left to right:

  • Nectar
  • Honey
  • Sage
  • Moss
  • Juniper

Bottom row (LtoR): Nectar, Honey, Sage, Moss, Juniper

Chinois and Nectar are matte shadows but not as pigmented as the other 8 shimmery shades.
The eyeshadows are not chalky and will wear for about 6 hours, with a base, before creasing.

You can create really beautiful, soft, soft earthy looks with this palette of amp it up with the darker shades for the evening.

In Short…

  • 10 shadows-2 matte, 8 shimmer
  • wears for 6hrs with a base before creasing
  • not chalky, okay pigment/pay off

What are your thoughts on Stila’s In the Garden Palette?

I got the “In the Light” sample palette in my Topbox and it is filled with browns and neutrals. I wish I’d got to try something with at least a few fun colours, this set looks lovely! Thanks for swatching. :)
