PÜR Cosmetics just made contouring so easy with these dual-ended highlight & contour sticks.
PÜR Cosmetics Cameo Contour is available in 5 shades, as pictured above. Light, Medium, Tan, Dark, Deep. For reference, I use the Medium stick.
Each Cameo Contour kit comes with a dual-ended contour foundation, a Contour Blending Sponge/beauty blender dupe (pictured below), and a step-by-step guide.
The Contour Blending Sponge is latex-free and non-allergenic. It’s washable and reuseable, and odor-free. I prefer to use it damp, but I guess it could also be used dry.
The fine tip (top of the blender) is perfect for blending small areas of the face, while the flat end is good for blending the contour around your eyes and nose, and even the highlight on your cheeks. The rounded bottom is used to roll/dab on foundation and/or blend the contour on the larger areas on the face like your cheeks, around your chin, and forehead.
If you want a lighter highlight/contour finish, you can apply Cameo Contour under your foundation, or if you want a more defined finish, apply it on top of your foundation.
Highlighting should be done as follows:
- the centre of your forehead
- under the brow bone
- down the bridge of your nose
- under eyes
- around the bottom of your lip, and your cupids bow
- and the centre of your chin
Contouring is done on the following areas:
- around the forehead hairline
- down the sides of your nose
- under the cheekbones
- and along your jawline
You obviously don’t have to contour/highlight all these areas at once. I usually contour my cheek bones, around my forehead, and along my jawline; and I highlight the centre of my forehead and under eye area.
For this Christmas Eve look, I contoured and highlight the whole 9 yards. This is what it should look like before blending it all in:
Again, this was using the Medium Cameo Contour. I applied my highlight and contour after my foundation, then blending it all in with the Contour Blending Sponge.
I love how easy Cameo Contour is to use on-the-go. It’s a super quick way to get your contouring and highlighting in, and with 5 shades to choose from, you can’t really go wrong.
pur cosmetics Cameo Contour sticks glide on smoothly and are super easy to blend. You can use a brush, your fingers, or the Contour Blending Sponge it comes with.
I was lucky enough to be sent all 5 shades and I now use them in my professional makeup kit!
Here are swatches of the shades on my arm, and not blended – straight from the stick!
