REVIEW: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla

Cost: $30 CDN
Available at: Holt Renfrew, Sephora

MY 2 CENTS
Before I begin this review, let me just state that Vanilla is a little too light (and slightly too pinkish) for my medium, olive skin (but this is what happens when you listen to counter girls…)

I picked up NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla a couple of weeks ago at Yorkdale’s Holt Renfrew. There’s a buzz in the beauty world so obviously I had to try this out.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer are available in 10 shades, and are paraben-and- sulfate-free. It applies smoothly and blends well into the skin. They’re buildable from medium-to-full coverage.

Yes, the Creamy Concealer is light weight and doesn’t feel like you have anything on, and yes, it works as a pretty highlight because of the light-reflecting particles but these are not crease-proof nor do I find them long-wearing, like NARS claims. Oh and if you have any dry spots, Creamy Concealer will emphasize it (not so moisturizing, after all!)

In short, I’m really on the fence about this concealer. I’m not wow’d by it nor am I disappointed in it. I’m not sure if I would repurchase.

Have you tried this concealer? Share your thoughts with me in the comments!

  1. I *just* bought this a couple days ago in the shade Custard. I found it difficult to choose a shade. Vanilla looked too light, Honey seemed a pinch too warm, so I just went with Custard. Haven’t tried it out yet!
