REVIEW: Marilyn Monroe for MAC “Charmed I’m Sure” Lipstick

MAC describes Charmed I’m Sure as a “dark, true red”, I beg to differ.
Charmed I’m Sure is a matte red but it’s not dark, nor do I find it to be a true red. On my lips, it’s a red that leans a little pink.

It is slightly drying because of it’s matte formula but with a lip balm underneath, it sits on my lips comfortable for about 6 hours. Because it’s matte, the color fades minimally through the day. Rather than reapplying the lipstick, I just apply a balm over top to make it more comfortable to wear.

The  packaging is different than your average MAC lipstick tube. It’s a glossy black that’s lightweight but feels kind of cheap. But, just like the rest of this collection, the graphics on the lipstick tube is not a sticker which makes this a great limited edition piece to add to my lipstick collection!

In Short…

• Charmed I’m Sure is a matte red that leans a little pink
• It is slightly drying but sits comfortably for 6 hrs, longer with a balm
• Does not need to be reapplied regularly
