MY 2 CENTS
I bought this by request of a reader. The request came just in time because I squeezed my last drop of the Marcelle BB Cream and was looking for a new one to try out!
Garnier claims that this BB cream gives these benefits:
- Hyrdates
- Corrects wrinkles and imperfections
- Protects with SPF 15
- Evens and brightens skin tone
This BB Cream is available in two shades: medium light, and medium dark.
I’m a medium dark but I’m sure once I tan it’s going to be too light. I really wish companies who make BB Cream would make a wider range of shades. They don’t seem to match anyone darker than olive.
So does this product do what it claims? Let’s look at each of the 4 point individually.
- Yes, it does hydrate. My skin feels great with it on.
- I don’t know if it “corrects wrinkles” but I find that it doesn’t correct imperfections. Garnier BB Cream is extremely sheer.
- I don’t think SPF 15 on your average girl is enough protection and probably won’t protect from harmful UVA rays. That’s just my opinion
- My skin looks brighter when I wear the BB Cream but I haven’t noticed any evening of my skin tone.
When squeezed out of the tube, Garnier BB Cream looks thick and creamy, as if it would cover every imperfection, and although it blends easily, the formula is very sheer thus, covers no imperfections at all.
I would have loved if Garnier BB Cream had buildable coverage, but the more layers I add the more oily my skin feels. It does nothing for coverage.
To make matters worse, whenever I spritzed my beloved MAC Fix+, Garnier BB Cream slips right off my skin leaving noticeable streaks and dots that are difficult to cover up if I’ve already applied my blush/bronzer combo.
Unless I grow to love this product with each use (as I did with Marcelle BB Cream), Garnier BB Cream is going to be a skip in my books.

I have not heard much good things about this cream up to now and if I am not mistaken it contains parafin/mineral oil which is like the cheapest ingredient and not very good for the skin either. Setting the price at practically CDN 21.- sounds like a rip off to me. No offense. But: Thank you for testing it and sharing this with us :D

Definitely quite the rip off. Thanks for reading (and commenting!)
