MY 2 CENTS
I received the EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge months ago, and I’m only now getting around to using it.
To be honest, I was kind of intimidated looking at it and wasn’t sure how the heck to really use it until I read my girlfriend GlitterDiaries review of it. Thanks Kelly!!

EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge is handmade with 100% natural ingredients, including Konjac vegetable fibre (which is some sort of Asian beauty trend!?). Anyway, Konjac is a highly renewable perennial root plant mostly comprised of starch (like potatoe) and found in Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. It’s used as part of a detoxifying diet and as this natural exfoliating sponge for delicate skin.

So basically, this facial sponge is hard when it’s dry and really softens when wet. I was surprised at how smooth it feels on my skin. I was totally expecting it to be scratchy or moreso to be used as an exfoliator.
I run the dry sponge under water until it’s completely soft then add a cleanser to it and rub it on my face using circular motions.
It’s dermatologist tested for morning & night use to wash away dirt, oils, and makeup. I’m trying to keep my sponge as clean as possible so I remove my makeup first, then cleanse with the sponge!

EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge is so very gentle on the skin. I wouldn’t even really call it an exfoliator – it’s more like a soft massage on the face! It leaves my skin glowing and has never caused any redness or dryness.
It’s frangrance-free and colorant-free, suitable for use on the most sensitive skins.

EcoTools suggests replacing the facial sponge every 1 to 3 months and after continuous use, I understand why. From constant squeezing and rinsing, the sponge starts to rip and tear. Not a huge issue for me, but after a little research, I learned that other similar sponges don’t do this. I thought that was worth mentioning!

There are other brands of Kojac facial sponges available at a higher price point but I’d recommend trying EcoTools first. The price point is lower and I really think it’s a good start. I enjoy using the sponge and I continue to do so nightly!
