New COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara features a dual-action, lash-lifting brush and plumping formula for extreme volume….
But in my humble opinion, the lash lifting brush is awful. First, it’s huge and chunky. Secondly, the mascara doesn’t get into all the bristles – as you can see in the image above. Third, I was expecting thick, plumped lashes, not so much length as this brush delivered.
How the brush us supposed to work:
- large bristles cover a larger surface area for a quick application – but because not all the bristles get covered with mascara, you end up having to go over some of the lashes multiple times.
- the bristles comb through the lashes for a lifted, separated look – this claim is true. My lashes are definitely separated and lengthened.
- bristles on the rounded tip help get those hard to reach lashes – except I somehow manage to smear mascara on my lids and nose because I feel like this brush is too big and awkward.
The formula from this mascara is good. It doesn’t flake off or disappear throughout the day, and is easily removed with makeup remover or wipes.
If you’re looking for a mascara to give you length, then COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara might be a good fit for you.
If you’re like me, and want your lashes to be thick with drama, then you’ll want to skip this one.
I normally am a fan of COVERGIRL Mascara but unfortunately, Plumpify just isn’t doing it for me.
