Oops! I`ve been meaning to post my review and experience with the Clear Hair 7 Day Challenge from MONTHS ago but I keep forgetting to schedule it. Well here it is! Extremely late but a review none-the-less ;) (note: I took this challenge before my new dye job!)
A little while ago, I won Toronto Beauty Reviews Clear Hair Shampoo+Conditioner giveaway. Needing a new shampoo+conditioner regimen anyway, I decided to take the 7 Day Hair Challenge. So for the next 7 days (read: washes. I don’t wash my hair every day), I used the shampoo+conditioner in hopes of making my hair stronger and more beautiful, like the product claims.
A little background info on my hair: I straighten it every day. I don’t use a heat protector so my hair is damaged. I color/bleach it so it’s a dry, too. I have split ends and am definitely overdue for a trim. I really don’t take good care of my hair!
Wash #1
My first experience with Clear Hair was pleasant. I shampoo’d my roots and had this ridiculous lather going on. I love the lather!
Next I conditioned my ends. I left it in for a few minutes and washed it out. Immediately, my wet hair felt softer. Almost has if it were covered in a film. Not greasy or oily.
I kind of wished the scent of both shampoo+conditioner was stronger. I like fragrance.
Naughty me went to bed with wet hair (one thing I don’t do is blow dry my hair). The next morning, straightening my hair was a breeze. There was no tangles, no fly always. It feels smooth, soft, and smells pretty good!
Wash #2
I really, really love how soft and silky my hair feels after each wash.
The lather is still a favourite. It just feels so good!
Also, I may not like the way the shampoo+conditioner smells right out of the tube but I love the way it leaves my hair smelling after it’s clean and dry.
Wash #3
Still all the same benefits from the first two washes. Although my hair seems to be less staticy and there are less fly aways, my scalp is also drying up a bit but this usually happens when I change hair products.
Wash #4
The dry scalp has gone away.
My hair is well over due for a color. My blonde was starting to look muddy but after wash+condition #4, it’s looking brighter and fresher.
Wash #5
I feel like I can go longer without washing my hair. It doesn’t get greasy as quickly as it used it. It is now Monday, the last time I wash my hair was Saturday afternoon. 2 days later, my hair now is only starting to get oily.
Wash #6
My hair is still very soft. I can run my fingers through it without them getting stuck. I definitely feel like my hair is healthier. I can tell because the bleached blonde section of my hair looks less damaged, less “burned”. Loving the results so far!
Wash #7
Although I still majorly need a dye job, Clear Hair has helped even out the fading and made my blonde visibly brighter. My hair feels healthy, soft, and silky. I’m overall pleased with the results of the 7 Day Challenge.
