MY 2 CENTS
I was browsing the Yorkville Sephora when I came across this gem. I was intrigued, I swatched and swatched, yet I still walked out without the product. A few days later, I was still really interested in trying this foundation out so I headed to the my local Sephora to visit my girlfriend and fellow beauty blogger boldnbeautifulmakeup. I went in for just this foundation but walked out with the Precision Face Brush, too , as per her recommendation.
For reference, I am an R270. This is a Golden Medium for medium skin with yellow/olive undertones. If you normally use Bare Minerals foundations, you will not be the same shade in the Ready Foundation as you would be in the Original or Matte foundation!
Ready Foundation is a medium-to-full coverage foundation with a natural finish. I’m not used to wearing powder foundations so for me, although the finish is light and natural, I still feel like it looks more like powder than skin. To get rid of that ever so slight powder residue, I spray my face with MAC Fix+ and dab it into my skin with a damp Beauty Blender.
If you have dry skin, this foundation would be perfect for you. It’s allergy season and I have tiny dry spots around my nose because of constantly blowing (that’s what she said!). Ready Foundation does not accentuate the dry areas, instead it hydrates them. The time-released mineral hydration system system increases hydration up to 108%.
I’ve been wearing Ready Foundation for about 8 hours now and I’ve experienced no fading or patchiness. Nor does my skin look or feel oily.
The reason I bought the Precision Face Brush is because Ready Foundation kicks up a lot of powder. A regular buffing/dome and/or powder brush would result in a waste of product.
Precision Face Brush is a slanted, flat top brush. All you do is gently dab it onto the Ready Foundation and apply it to your skin in long, strokes. This will give you a full coverage application.
The beauty of the Precision Face Brush is that it can work on all powder products, even loose powder. Precision Face Brush is soft, silky, doesn’t shed, and holds form pretty good after washing. The brush is recommended for use with the Ready Foundation.
As I mentioned, I hardly ever wear or even buy a powder foundation but Bare Minerals Ready Foundation has quickly become a favourite.

I’ve never been into powder foundations either, I feel like you can mess it so much more! This one looks really nice but I’m a little bit too much of a scardy cat for it at the moment! Does this give good coverage?
By the way, I found this foundation tool the other day http://www.beauty.ps/tool/foundation . It’s helps you get a foundation that suits your skin type, skin tone and gets you the coverage and finish you’re looking for.
Hope you like it :).

Hi Lucy!
Ready Foundation can be built up from medium to full coverage. Normally, I don’t like spending money on powder foundation but this one is quite beautiful!
Thanks for that foundation tool. I’m going to check it out :)
