Unless I’m working on a client, I never use lip liner. On myself, I concealer around the lips and that acts as a barrier for my lipsticks.
On my clients, I use lip liner to improve the longevity of lipsticks. I line around the lips, fill them in with the liner, add a layer of lipstick, a layer of translucent powder, and another coat of lipstick. This formula makes lipstick last all day and then some.
Is lip liner an absolute must have in your personal kit? I don’t think so! How about you?

I use it just with red lipstick or dark colours, I must admit I like the liplined effect better than the plan pilstick one, but I didn’t bother to get liners for every lipstick I own.
You definitely don’t need a liner for every Lippy. You can also use concealer for the same effect!
Which brand of translucent powder do you use on lips?
I use MAC translucent powder. It’s one of the best on the market
I agree. I only use lip liner on clients. I’m usually too lazy to do it on myself.
