I got suckered into another Instagram ad… I can’t be the only one, right!?
I think Big Brother was listening to my complaints of having to maintain my pink hair every month and how damaged it’s getting. I was scrolling through Instagram and came across the Moroccan Oil Colour Depositing Mask. I “saved” the ad until I felt frustrated again. When I felt like it was time to tone my hair pink again, I went back to the Moroccan Oil ad and ordered the Hibiscus Colour Depositing Mask.

The intensity of each colour depends on the colour of your hair. If you’re a light to medium blonde (dyed or naturally), Aquamarine, Hibiscus, Rose Gold, Platinum and Champagne will take on your hair but if you’re dark brown, the colours won’t be as vibrant, if they take at all.
That being said if you’re a blonde and use Cocoa, you’ll probably muddy up your hair and have to get it professionally toned, as the colour seems quite dark. Does that make sense!?

Fresh Hibiscus done this morning

I’ve used Hibiscus two refresh my colour twice now and I LOVE IT. Not only am I getting fresh colour every 2-3 weeks, my hair is feeling so much healthier and less brittle. Moroccan Oil Colour Depositing Mask is like a temporary colour with the benefits of a deep conditioning mask. It’s super easy to use, too!

1. Start with clean, towel dried hair
2. Section hair and apply a generous amount. Wear gloves!! My hands were dyed pink for a few days after my first treatment
3. Leave the mask on for 5-7 minutes. I like my pink to be intense so I leave it on for 10 minutes.
4. Rinse it out, thoroughly and style as usual

Honestly this product breathes life back into my hair and I’m not at the hair salon getting it refresh every 5 weeks, causing further damage.

I get about 3-4 washes out of the Moroccanoil Colour Depositing Mask. For me, that’s a lot because I only wash my hair once a week. I love being able to refresh my colour on my own time and right before I have an event or something that I want fresh colour for. The fact is, for me, Moroccan Oil Colour Depositing Mask is more affordable and more convenient than trips to the hair salon. I run my own business and often times don’t have the time to make it to the salon (because we work the same hours!). This product is a great alternative for me!
