I’ve been dabbling into the world of veganism lately. Food and products. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to make a 100% transition but every so often, I try to less my carbon footprint in this world, even if it’s just for a week at a time.
Sade Baron was born with a simple goal in mind: To create quality, smart and modern vegan products by using superfood ingredients rich in nutrients.
Sade Baron is a Toronto based company that keeps all their work in-house and hand-made. Their products are made in small batches to ensure high quality and maintain their integrity.
I had the opportunity to try 3 Sade Baron products of my choosing. Pictured above is what I chose, below I’ll tell you a little bit about each :)
Activated Charcoal Soap – $10
This hand-made soap is infused with tea tree and peppermint oils to reduce blemishes and work as a skin tonic. It’s a plant-based bar enriched with Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Rice Bran Oil and Olive Oil to cleanse and detox the body while providing smooth skin.
I’ve been using the Activated Charcoal Soap for my hands. This bar is massive – 200 grams! It gets all sudsy – I enjoy the lather! It washes off every speck of dust, dirt, or makeup off my hands. It’s a dark grey bar and sometimes leaves my sink looking dirty lol it’s really no bother, I just have to keep up with cleaning it. I imagine you could use this on your face and body, too but I’m only using it on my hands right now. Overall, it’s a great soap!
Ylang Ylang Body Souffle $12 – $24
This is an intense moisturizer for rough, chapped skin. The souffle is infused with notes of Ylang Ylang, Clary Sage, Nerolina, Pink Grape Fruit, and Wintergreen essential oils. It has a unique blend of Illipe Butter and Coconut Oil to rehydrate the skin and nourish it for softer skin. This moisturizer is suitable for all skin types but especially dry skin. I can’t wait to see how this works in the winter!
Currently, I massage it into my legs after every shower. It’s a thick cream but once warmed up on my skin, rubs in easily. The Ylang Ylang scent is very clean but exotic. I really enjoy it!
Fresh Luxe Body Mist – $10
This is a hydrating face and body mist formulated with anti-oxidants and nutrient-rich extracts to visibly hydrate and boost skin radiance.The scent is subtle but also very clean and refreshing.
It contains Aloe Vera to calm and soothe skin, and Neroli Floral Water that acts as an anti-stress agent. I keep this in my gym bag to spritz on to feel refreshed or if I’m feeling a little stressed, to calm me down, and if I just feel too sweaty. Definitely a multipurpose mist that I love using.
