Kat Von D Star Studded Eyeshadow Book [SWATCHES]

I can’t seem to find the Kat Von D Star Studded Eyeshadow Book online at Sephora anymore but maybe they still have it in-stores. Anyways, for $55 USD, you get 24 eyeshadows ranging from matte to frost. The shadows are kind of powdery and not as pigmented as I hoped but it’s still a decent palette!

The lid of the book as a mirror and there’s a clear, plastic sheet that names the shadows and flips open. On the back of the book (see above) and on the clear name sheet, it splits the shadows into 6 color coordinating quads as a guide.

These shadows look highly pigmented in the palette but I wish the color payoff were better on some of these.

Top Row — Top row LtoR: Solar (warm peach), Nephilim (golden bronze frost), Damned (matte beige), Division (green with metallic sheen)

I don’t know what happened to my swatch of the second row but it contains:

Platonic: a tangerine with golden shimmer
Mandala: a dark reddish-orange
Depeche: a bronze with metallic sheen
Brass Knuckles: a light yellow gold

Third row: — Third row LtoR: Anti-Star (frosted white), Estrella (navy blue with pearl finish), Banshee (matte white), Violator (lavender with a pinky-pearl finish)

katvondstarstudded8 — Fourth row LtoR: Black Star (matte black with silver sparkle), Starflyer (matte blue), Gothica (dark purple frost), Fascination Street (matte bluish-purple)

Fifth row LtoR: Moz (satin beige), Heaven Knows (satin taupe), Crosses (matte, warm beige), Covenant (olive green pearl)

Sixth row LtoR: Smiths (copper), Leather (matte dark brown), Craft (dark, sparkly green), Cult (light green with golden shimmer)

You can definitely create some fun looks with this palette. Lots of brights, neutrals, mattes, and shimmers to choose from. It’s a big palette, so I wouldn’t travel with it but I would depot a few of the ones with better color payoff and less fallout and put them in my pro makeup kit.
