Yep. You read that correctly. I haven’t left the country in THREE years. Since 2011, I’ve gone through quite a few changes:

• siciliannabeauty.com (then, iheartmakeupart.com) grew. It became “recognized”, I gained an amazing followership, paired up with some awesome companies for giveaways and reviews, and I met so many incredible/inspiring people along the way.
• I started growing as a Makeup Artist. I teamed up with Blush Pretty and this amazing woman showed me the way. I’m still working as part of her team today :)
• I grew my business. I gained a clientele base, for waxing and for lash extensions, and yes, makeup, too!
• I started a new job. I quit working my desk job in Fall of 2013 and branched out into the spa world. I currently work at Waxon Waxbar as a “Waxologist” and I love my job. It’s social, fun, and I work with an amazing group of girls.
• My brother and I purchased a condo that we’re going to be using as rental property and should be built by the end of 2015.
• and somewhere along the way, as I was growing and carving my future, my (ex) boyfriend and I grew apart. We were together for a really long time and it’s pretty sad but the breakup is what’s best for us right now. Who knows what our future holds?

So, my beautiful friends, as of tomorrow I will be taking a 3 week hiatus and I will be back in the country on Oct 3rd –  I think I deserve it!

I’m going to Sicily to spend some extra time with my grandfather and my family. I’ll probably be tweeting/instagramming every now & then so if you want to see pictures, make sure to follow if you aren’t already. That being said, I am out-of-here! Have a great back to school and rest of September.
