I love, love, love doing my hair wavy! I can leave it like this for 3 days before it starts to fall and I need to wash it.
To accomplish the waves pictured below, you’ll need:

  • Hot Tools Deep Waver (you can buy the one I have here)
  • Vidal Sassoon Heat Protect & Shine Spray*
  • Vidal Sassoon Wave Enhancer Primer Spray*
  • Vidal Sassoon Pomade Creme*
  • Optional: Herbal Essence Tousle Me Softly Spray*

STEP ONE
Plug in your Deep Waver and set the temperature. I use mine on the highest setting because my hair can handle it. If your hair is thin, brittle, or damaged, use a lower setting

STEP TWO
Separate your hair. I start(ed) from the bottom (now we here!- ha! sorry I had to) and work my way up.
Spray each layer with VIdal Sassoon Heat Protect & Shine Spray. This protects your hair form burning (and smelling!) and leaves a shiny finish.

STEP THREE
Separate your strands. The smaller/thinner the strand, the wavier your hair will look once it’s finished.
With the Deep Waver, start from the root of your hair (careful not to burn yourself!) and work your way down the strand. I usually hold the Deep Waver in each spot for about 10 seconds.

STEP FOUR
As you finish Deep Waving each layer of hair, spray with Vidal Sassoon Wave Enhancer Primer Spray. This sets the wave and holds it in place as you finish the rest of your head.

STEP FIVE
Once you’ve completed your whole head of hair, use the Vidal Sassoon Pomade Creme. Pump it in your hands, massage it into palms and work it through your waves, scrunching your hair up. I find this helps to define the wave better.
Don’t be afraid to get messy with this. Your waves do not have to be perfect. The bigger the hair, the better!

The next day…

This is just an added touch and you don’t need to do it but, the next day, I like spraying my hair with Herbal Essence Tousle Me Softly Spray. It has a subtle violet fragrance that keeps hair smelling fresh and hair looking imperfect!
