It’s that time of the month again!!

My December Luxe Box has arrived.
Loose Button is calling it the Holiday Edition. The box is the same (black&white) but the inside is packed with baby blue paper stuffing and white tissue paper to wrap my goodies sealed with a silver “made for Anna” sticker. This holiday packaging is cute but I still prefer the black on black scheme.

Loose Button may be implementing a new program because before they shipped out this months boxes, they sent out a First in Line email asking your preference between 2 products. The 2 options were the DDF Advanced Firming Cream and Kerastase Elixir Ultime. I chose the Kerastase because I love hair oils and I’m always looking to try more. This idea is great because it helps Loose Button with personalization when it comes to your box. They get a feel of what you like and don’t like and create your box accordingly.
Even though I chose the Kerastase, I received both products in this months box. I could have done without the DDF but it’s no biggie to me! I love trying new products, anyway.
I was a little disappointed that I  received 2 perfume samples for two reasons: a) I already own one and, b)  the vials were only half full (you’ll see in the picture!).
It was a little bit of a shock because a perfume sample (Chloe) that I received in my October box was completely full and had a significant amount of perfume in it.
Oh well!! A girl can never have too many perfumes :)

Let’s take a look at what’s in my beauty box this month!

  • Kerastase Elixir Ultime
I think I fell in love with a new hair oil. I think I love it even more than Morrocan Oil. (Gasp!) This Kerastase has a different consistency than Morrocan or Bio-Oil. It’s thinner, it’s clear, and it’s not as oily. When I put it in my hair, it feels light and feathery rather than heavy and a tad greasy (Morrocan Oil). It seems to have helped with straightening my hair better, too! I got compliments on my hair the day after I used it for the first time!
  • China Glaze in Winter Berry
This is the only full-size product in the box. I hope they continue to add full-size nail polishes because I rarely go out and buy my own.
Winter Berry is from the Let it Snow collection by China Glaze and has to be the Russian Red of red nail polishes. It’s such a deep, rich red and perfect for the holidays!
  • Nina Ricci in L’Air Du Temps
  • Nina Ricci in Nina
  • DDF Advanced Firming Cream
I really don’t like to use anti-aging products. I know I should be since it probably won’t help me when I’m older but I’m just not a fan, yet. I prefer to take care of my skin minus all the chemicals and that’s exactly what this cream smells like (it contains copper & zinc). I really can’t atest to whether it works but I can say that unless you have “normal” skin, don’t use this strictly as a moisturizer.
  • Silver chocolate coin
This was a cute holiday addition! The silver coin is embedded with Loose Buttons logo and when you unwrap it, you’ll find tasty chocolate! I’m allergic to tree nuts so I was a little hesitant to eat the chocolate but who was I kidding? I couldn’t resist chocolate and I’m still alive!

bad lighting but this is the Holiday packaging!

Check out how big that DDF sample is. It’s worth $41.

Did anyone else receive half empty perfume samples? Leave me a comment!

Love the nail polish colour! Hope I get a pretty one too! I saw on another post that someone else got half empty vials of perfume as well. I am cancelling my subscription to Luxebox this month as they seem to send a lot of perfume samples (which I am allergic to) as well as I have gotten repeat samples (lip gloss from Lise Watier, which I love anyway). I just feel that I have only been a member for 2 months and I am already getting repeats, seems a bit offputting to me. I do subscribe to Glymm and Topbox though. I should be getting my first Glymm this month and Topbox in Feb. Here’s hoping these 2 don’t disappoint!

Repeats already? wow! I have yet to get a repeat and this is my third box. Did you fill out your Beauty Profile on Loose Button? I know the company is only a year old so I am cutting them a bit of slack and so far, other then the half empty perfume samples, I haven’t been disappointed.
I really want to try Topbox and Glymm, as well! Once you get your first boxes, I’d love to hear about it!
      Goodluck :)

I did fill out my beauty profile when I first signed up, so who knows. I was happy with most of the samples, but seeing it is the more expensive of the boxes and their communication lacks as compared to the other 2, plus the fact that all 3 is a little too expensive for my situation…I felt the need to cut back and they were the most logical choice.

I want all 3 but I can’t afford it either! lol
But I will probably try out the other 2 for at least one month.

I just got my LuxeBox. My perfume samples were half full as well. Got the same as you did except for the nail polish in Blonde Bombshell a glittery gold good for layering. It has a silver lid.

That’s terrible! I wonder if everyone got half empty perfume vials.
I went around on Google looking for reviews of the Holiday/December Luxe Box and it looks like a lot of people got the same box.
The DDF cream, Kerastase, the 2 half empty perfume, a nail polish in a variety of colors, and the silver chocolate coin.

I believe due to them mailing perfume samples in winter months the space is left so they don’t freeze and expand and break. Just a thought.

I didn’t think of it that way. Good point! Thanks for bringing it up :)

I also received my December Luxe Box and expected it would contain the same products as everyone else appeared to have received. For the third month in a row it was completely different: Moroccan Oil styling spray, shampoo & conditioner (which all smell amazing), Yves Rocher hand cream, One Million & Lady One Million fragrance samples & a black eye pencil and the chocolate which my son enjoyed. I was hoping for the China Glaze nail polish but I’m quite pleased with the products I received instead.

I was so disappointed with my LuxeBox! I received the 1 Million and Lady Million (it smelled good, but I could do without the male counterpart), a NYX pencil (errr), a Yves Rocher lipstick that was Barbie pink, and a Yves Rocher coconut shower gel. Aw, it seemed like everyone else either got the China Glaze, or a Lise Watier lipgloss. Plus my chocolate coin was missing!

Hopefully next month’s is better c:
