I swear I’m not totally late on this bandwagon; I’m just totally late writing this post.

I’ve hit some kind of block. I have so many wonderful products to write about yet I can’t seem to find make the time. I promise I will get back into the groove soon!

First up on my totally late posts is COVERGIRL x Katy Kat Matte. 11 luscious, demi-matte shades, and 2 mascaras (one of which I don’t care for).

The star of the COVERGIRL and Katy Perry collection are definitely the lipsticks but let me talk briefly about the mascaras.

The black mascara is perfect. No clumping or fading, it separates the lashes nicely, and really volumizes them.
The Perry Blue mascara doesn’t exactly have the same effect. The blue color applies nicely to the lashes but once it dries, you can’t even tell you’re wearing blue mascara – no bueno!

Anyway, back to the most important part of this collection – the lipsticks!

I like that the Katy Kat Matte lipsticks aren’t totally matte. Matte is usually drying on my lips but with this demi-matte finish, I can wear each of the 11 Katy Kat Matte shades with ease and comfort.
They glide on super smooth and are really soft. The Shea Butter nourishes your lips and leaves behind a velvety finish with a touch of sheen.

I love how pigmented and opaque these lipsticks are. Just one or two coats and you have a gorgeous lip. Pair with a lip liner or wear it alone – these lipsticks don’t bleed anyway! :)
