If you’ve read my OPI Shatter review, you know that I’m not a huge fan of the polish. My girlfriend recently discovered a crackle polish by China Glaze and swears up & down that it’s a lot better than OPI.

Looking at some of the work she done with it, I’m kind of convinced (also see above):

I’m finding that China Glaze Crackle “crackles” better than OPI Shatter. My girlfriend tends to agree. She said that Shatter looks like the polish is shredded on your nail while Crack cracks chunkier, almost in block form. The main selling point for her is that China Glaze cracks better than OPI.

OPI has colors like turquoise, navy, silver, blue, red, white & black while  China Glaze carries colors like white, grey, black, pink, purple & blue. China Glaze also has a Crackle Metal collection that carries colors like gold, burnt orange, silver, lavender & aqua.

Is it just me or do these products only look nice on fake nails? We all know the disaster I created on my real nails with Shatter. They even make your toes look like they’re on hobbit feet. But my girlfriend is wearing fake nails and  it actually looks fantastic.

What do you think?

I was told by the associate that the chunkier you want your “shatter” the polish should be applied in a thick singular coat *thumbs up. Crackle has better colour variety though!

My issue with Shatter is how thick & goopy it is. If you put more than one coat, it just looks like crap lol
