- The sock bun!
- The “Undercut”. I haven’t had the nerve to try this one yet!
- Flaming Red Hair. I actually did this in 2010 but I still love the look!
- Feathers. In your hair, in your accessories. Wherever! Feathers are hot!

- RentfrockRepeat: I am so glad I discovered these ladies! This is the perfect dress rental company with a wide selection at affordable prices!
- Beauty Sample Services: Loose Button, Glymm, Topbox. It’s like Christmas, once a month!
- Brazilian wax: I was so against this but after getting my first one day last Summer, I’ve realized that half hour of discomfort is soooo worth it!
- YMF Hairsalon: I’ve been with Yang @ YMF for 8 years now. I’ll never change her! She knows what I want and how I want it and gets it right every time! Plus, she threads a mean eyebrow.
MAKEUP
- The Cat Eye
- The Bright Lip
- Lancome Teint Miracle foundation. This is the most underrated foundation, ever!
- Tweezerman. Most definitely the best tweezers I’ve ever plucked with!
- Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Primer. My favourite primer!
- Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. This stuff is so extreme! It will last all day & night long!
- Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow. Velvet-y, smooth, rich and pigmented eyeshadows! Amazing for a UK drugmart brand.
- Lise Watier Waterproof Lip Crayon. Creamy, smooth, rich in color. These are worth every penny!
- MAC Bloggers’ Obsession Collection. I was so impressed with this! These ladies did an amazing job. I wish I could have picked up everything in this collection.
SKIN CARE
- Fake Bake Original Self Tanning Lotion. My favourite self-tanner! No odor, no streaking, no stains, and NO ORANGE!
- MAC Fix+. Ya’ll know I don’t travel without this!
- Avon Renew Reversalist Night Sterling Emulsion. I promise you won’t look like Edward in the sunlight after applying this night cream. This serum is perfect for dry skin because it replenishes the skins’ moisture.’
NAILS
- Shellac
- Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips
- China Glaze: I find these to have the best formula of all nail polishes!
FASHION
- Bangles
- Jumpsuits. I wish these things looked good on me because they are so hot!
- The Bare Shoulder. I rocked this look all Summer long!
- Rose Gold. I didn’t hop on this trend, but I wish I would have! Rose Gold is super pretty.
- Sequence! Bedazzles!
BLOGS
- Heels & Her: From everyday life to fashion, this blog has it all!
- The Textually Challenged: Witty & humourous. I love reading posts from Arianne. She is always up to something!
- Bee is the New Blog: Get a daily fashion dose with Bee!
- Jangsara. This girl is a true inspiration to all aspiring MUAs.
- Queen of Blending. I don’t think she has a blog but check out her FB page. Her technique is AMAZING
THE WORST
(seriously, my opinion doesn’t count for much)
NAILS
- Contrasting shades. One intense shade, contrasting tips. I did this but I’m not really a fan!
- OPI Shatter. Hate. Hate. Hate. I don’t hate all crackle polishes, just this one in particular!
HAIR
- Ombre. As much as I wanted to this, I’m happy I didn’t. I don’t know anyone who can pull this off (unless you’re Lauren Conrad). It just looks grown out!
- Brazilian Blow Outs. There’s a reason why the FDA issued a warning against this.
FASHION
- Rainbow Jeans. Need I say more?
- Pattern play
- Color Blocking: It’s not all bad but there were some things I just couldn’t jump on board with.
- The Full Skirt. I can’t seem to figure out why this replaced the Pencil Skirt.
MAKEUP
- Bushy/Full Eyebrows. I just couldn’t get into loving this look!
- Spider Lashes. Why! WHY!
- MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. I couldn’t learn to love this one. It’s thick and hard to blend.
- FACEatelier Lip Lock. I just could not learn to love this product, either.
- Anna Sui Super Black Long Lash mascara. This was the first “fiber” mascara I’ve tried, and it almost turned me off the others. It’s super clumpy and burns the eyes.
- MAC Surf Baby Collection. This had to be the most disappointing collection this year.
