Although it’s raining here today in Toronto, we all know that summer is around the corner. The temperature is changing and so should our make-up routine.
Let’s update our beauty bags together!
- Avoid raccoon eyes with waterproof mascara & eyeliner.
- Avoid a shiny or oily face with a translucent setting powder. Carry a press powder or oil absorbing sheets with you!
- Use tinted moisturizers with an SPF to protect the delicate skin on your face.
- Use oil-free and fragrance-free products on a burn.
- Use a cream blush or cheek tint, they last longer! Try Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint by Urban Decay.
- Use a creamy lipstick, it will last longer than a gloss or you can try a lip stain.
- Use a setting spray to keep your make-up from budging.
- Don’t forget an eyeshadow primer to keep your eyeshadow from creasing. You may also want to try a cream eyeshadow.
- Drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated.
- It sounds silly but if you’ve got oily skin, it’s probably more oily in the summer. Apply a sensitive deoderant to the oily parts of your face (ie. T-Zone).
- Need your make-up to last all day and night? Apply a primer then your foundation and set it with a powder. Spritz your face with a setting spray, then apply your blush/bronzer then apply a setting spray again. Use a primer on your eyes, like MAC Paint Pots, then apply your eyeshadow. Don’t forget to use a waterproof eyeliner & mascara.
- Use a water-based moisturizer.
- Keep your make-up sheer on a day-to-day basis. Less is more!
