Hey ya’ll!
I’m was in Bermuda last week and I wanted to share with you the beauty essentials I packed for my 6 day trip. What I loved and what I disliked….
As much as I love to fly because I’m heading to an exotic destination, I hate how germy airplanes are. I carry *X3 Hand Sanitizer with me in my purse. It’s non-alcohol formula protects my hands from feeling dry but is still totally effective in killing germs. Full review here
Last year, I travelled to Bahamas without sunscreen. I roasted in the sun for 3 days without sunscreen. I came back burnt and peeling, and have sooo many freckles on my shoulders. Island sun is no joke – wear your damn sunscreen! This trip, I’m took *Shiseido WetForce SPF 50 with me. It’s water resistant for up to 80 minutes. – hallelujah! Butttt unfortunately, I didn’t like the sunscreen. It left a thick, white film on my skin and rolled off in balls when I tried washing it off. Thankfully my GF brought a different sunscreen because I really couldn’t use this. sadface!
For my face, I’m used a different SPF by Clarins. It’s the *Clarins Multi-Protection UV50. It’s not oily and I only need to reapply every 2 hours or so. This worked like a dream. I got a tan on my face but didn’t burn. It blended right into my skin and wasn’t sticky, nor did it leave a gross white film. Totally recommend Clarins Multi-Protection UV50.
I’m also brought along *Shiseido After Sun Intensive Recovery Lotion. I already burned myself over Victoria Day weekend, and this lotion was so soothing and cooling on my burns. My skin never felt tight or sore with the use of this product.
The humidity in Bermuda was insane. My hair was limp and I was constantly perspiring. My face had such a gorgeous, natural highlight LOL! . Thankfully I brought my *Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist for refreshing my skin. This mist is kind of neat because it’s in gel-form but sprays out as a mist. It was so refreshing and smells fabulous!
I’m getting my eyelashes done so I don’t have to concern myself with mascara but my eyebrows are going to need a little help. That’s where Makeup Forever Aqua Brow comes in. I had it with me in Sicily a few years ago and they did not budge! Even through the humidity in Bermuda, and all my ocean play, my eyebrows stayed put!
For luminous, shiny skin when I go out, I’ used the *Nuxe Multi-Purpose Dry Oil. It has this beautiful, light glitter in it that really illuminated my tan. Plus it hydrated my skin – bonus!
I’ve already booked my next vacation to Sicily. I’ll make sure to post what I take along with me on that trip. Overall, I’m happy I brought this products with me to Bermuda – other than the Shiseido WetForce SPF50. I’m going to have to find a sunscreen to replace it – if you have any suggestions, please post it below! :)
